If lice is confirmed, we'll assess the hair type, length, thickness, and amount of lice. Then we'll explain the suitable treatment options, expected time, and cost before you decide whether to proceed.

What happens at your appointment?

1. We screen first. A technician checks the hair and scalp to determine whether lice is present.
2. We explain what we found. If treatment is appropriate, we'll walk you through the available plans and what each involves.
3. You choose how to proceed. We review the expected cost before treatment begins.
4. We explain follow-up care. Your technician provides the instructions that apply to the service you selected.

Treatment options for different needs

PALS offers professional removal options, including enhanced treatment and a heated-air option. Some plans include a guarantee when their household screening, aftercare, and follow-up requirements are completed. Your technician will explain which options are appropriate after examining the hair.

We work with different hair types

Hair type and texture are part of our assessment. Please arrive with hair detangled and braids removed so we can screen thoroughly. Tell us about extensions before your visit; they may affect which services and guarantees are available. We cannot treat dreadlocks.

What about the rest of the family?

You may start by scheduling the person you suspect has lice. If you select a guaranteed treatment plan, other household members may need to be professionally checked and cleared or treated within the required timeframe. This can also apply to a second household in a blended-family arrangement.
