Did you know your health insurance may reimburse you for some or all of the cost of professional head lice services?

Let’s Be PALS is a self-pay professional lice removal service. We do not bill insurance directly; however, many of our clients choose to submit their services to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Coverage varies by insurance company and individual plan, and reimbursement is never guaranteed.

Since 2012, Let’s Be PALS has helped more than 40,000 families with professional head lice screening and removal services.

Check With Your Insurance Company

If insurance reimbursement is important to you, we recommend contacting your insurance company before your appointment.

Ask whether your individual plan provides reimbursement for professional head lice screening and/or head lice removal services from an out-of-network provider.

Your insurance company can tell you:

• Whether your plan offers reimbursement
• Whether your deductible applies
• What documentation they require
• How to submit your claim

We Provide Reimbursement Documentation

Depending on your insurance company, you may be asked to provide an itemized receipt containing information about the services you received.

Our reimbursement documentation may include:

• Client name
• Date of service
• Services performed
• Amount paid
• Applicable diagnosis or reason-for-service information
• Provider/business information
• NPI information

The information included will depend upon the services actually provided and the findings at your appointment.

Need an Itemized Receipt?

If your insurance company requires an itemized receipt for reimbursement, we’re happy to provide one.

Current clients will receive access to our Insurance Reimbursement Center, where you can find reimbursement information and request an itemized receipt for your completed services.

Heat Elite clients receive one complimentary itemized reimbursement receipt.

Important Reimbursement Information

Let’s Be PALS provides professional head lice screening and removal services. We do not bill insurance companies directly, verify insurance benefits, determine coverage, or guarantee reimbursement.

Providing an itemized receipt, NPI or insurance-related documentation does not mean that a service will be covered by your insurance plan.

All reimbursement decisions are made by your insurance company or benefits administrator based on your individual policy.
